At a certain point you say
to the woods, to the sea,
to the mountains,
the world,
Now I am ready.
Now I will stop and be wholly attentive.
You empty yourself and wait,
listening...

Regional Conference for Teachers of Sacred Heart Institutions - Participants Comments

Conference Vision Statement

During the decades following Madeleine Sophie's death, the
Society of the Sacred Heart
continued to expand in a striking manner.
Our Internationality is a cherished gift which enriches our daily lives and enables us through our contacts and friendships around the globe to a deeper understanding of our world.

Internationality was originally the effect of mission and the expulsions, especially from France.

Today our call is to become women of communion, of compassion and reconciliation in a world more global and stressed with ethnic divisions.
Recent General Chapters have begun to explore more fully the dimensions of our inter-culturality and the opportunities it opens for us to develop a more active collaboration among the provinces by communication, solidarity and interdependence.'
