At a certain point you say
to the woods, to the sea,
to the mountains,
the world,
Now I am ready.
Now I will stop and be wholly attentive.
You empty yourself and wait,
listening...

Sr Anne Breen, RSCJ - Celebrated 50 Years in the Society of the Sacred Heart
at Sophia Chapel, Baradene, Auckland NZ on 15th August, 2005

Welcome to Guests.

It is my privilege to welcome all to this wonderful Celebration -
50 years of life, lived in love with the God of Love in the Society of the Sacred Heart, of Sister Anne Breen.

Reflecting about this occasion in relation to to-day's Feast, Mary's Assumption, and reading the quote inside the back page of your leaflet, I thought about what might be one thing that we experience of Mary, now, in to-day's world, and that Jesus, in his life on earth would have experienced, that would describe what Anne has been to us here at Baradene. Immediately the word NURTURER came to my mind.

Mary nurtured the life of Jesus ... Mary nurtures our lives of faith and growth in Christ.
Anne is a wonderful nurturer of our lives here at Baradene, spiritually and physically.

Let us join together now to celebrate the fruitful life of Sister Anne Breen over the last 50 years in the Society of the Sacred Heart.
