Landmines - Help Ban Cluster Munitions:
'...there
is a significant ‘dud’ rate among cluster bombs, and the unexploded bomblets are
to all intents and purposes landmines, lying around in large numbers wherever
dropped and causing many casualties and deaths... Australia is in the process
of negotiating the purchase of a recent variety of cluster bombs, not a big
deal, armaments-wise, only $14 millions I hear, but it should not be happening.
